DUBAI – If you’re heading to Global Village this season, parking just became a breeze.

The popular Dubai attraction has rolled out a new smart parking system, making the experience completely ticket-free. In collaboration with Salik and Parkonic, the system allows visitors to pay automatically through their Salik eWallet, eliminating queues and paper tickets for a smoother start to the evening.

The system is part of the major upgrades introduced for Season 30, which opened on October 15 with dazzling fireworks, drone shows, and a grand parade. Global Village continues to draw thousands of visitors each night for its mix of world cuisines, live entertainment, and family attractions.

Parking options

Most of the parking remains free of charge, spread across six main zones. During weekends, five additional areas open to handle larger crowds. However, for visitors seeking extra ease and proximity, two paid zones are available – P6, priced at Dh75, and Premium, at Dh120.

These premium zones are located near the main entrances – the Cultural Gate and the Gate of the World – offering a quick exit after fireworks or shows. Guests with VIP packs enjoy complimentary access to the VIP parking area, while People of Determination have dedicated parking spaces close to the gates.

App connectivity

The Global Village mobile app now provides real-time updates on available parking spaces. Visitors can check occupancy levels before arriving and even receive navigation directions to the nearest open zone. For those without a Salik account, payments can also be made via the Parkonic app or pay stations on-site.

Free parking zones include P1, P3, and P5 near the Gate of the World, while P7–P11 serve as weekend overflow areas roughly one kilometre away, with shuttle and rickshaw services available starting at Dh10.

Reaching Global Village by bus

For those skipping the drive, the RTA seasonal bus network connects Global Village with major locations in Dubai.

Routes include 102 from Al Rashidiya, 103 from Union, 104 from Al Ghubaiba, and 106 from Mall of the Emirates, running at regular intervals throughout the evening.
